While the high levels of his traits were surprising, what was even more astonishing was the unusual names of the traits themselves.

After seeing the traits, I began to think that maybe what was on the second floor wasn't food or family, but a person.

No, I was almost certain. Just looking at the traits, I could believe that he hadn't just kidnapped a woman, but dismembered her and minced her into human flesh.

First, I started moving the tables and chairs towards the entrance, pretending I didn't know anything. I didn't want to give him any reason to suspect that I was suspicious.

Keeping in mind that the man was a psychopath who could pounce at any moment, I dragged the heavy table.

I didn't like coffee, so this was my first time in this cafe. Unlike the light tables used in franchise cafes, they used heavy wooden tables. It made it quite difficult to move, but it would be better to use as a barricade.

Before setting up the barricade, I had to get past the immediate danger unharmed.

Moving the desks one by one, I naturally approached the psycho.

Knowing that he was a dangerous guy, I was going to approach him as if nothing was wrong and strike first. The man hadn't done anything to me yet, but I thought it would be more comfortable to just get rid of a psycho like that rather than keep him behind me.

"How did you know? This skill is worse than I thought."

But as I slowly approached, the psycho nonchalantly said something, unlike before, showing no signs of tension. Even his tone had changed.

'I've been caught.'

As soon as I realized he had noticed my plan, I turned around and swung the hammer that was hanging from my waist.

But the psycho nimbly stepped back and dodged the hammer. His reaction speed was surprisingly fast for his chubby build.

I didn't know if he was originally fast or if there was some effect on his traits, but if he was already bigger than me and had a good reaction speed, it was clear that the fight would be difficult.

'Should I run? No. If I run, he'll see me go to the officetel. Who knows what that psycho will do to the officetel. I should end it here, but how the hell do I kill him?'

Cold sweat ran down my back. It was more daunting than when I first encountered a zombie. I regretted ignoring Jin-ho hyung when he told me to exercise, as much as I regretted only being able to do sex once last night.

'Fighting head-on is a more dangerous gamble than running away. I have no choice.'

If it was dangerous either way, it was better to be dangerous both ways.

I threw the hammer at the psycho. The psycho quickly ducked his head and avoided the hammer.

Since I wasn't trying to hit him in the first place, as soon as I threw the hammer, I immediately ran to the entrance and picked up the golf club.

"What, I thought you were running away. It won't make a difference even if you pick that up. Why don't you just die quietly?"

The psycho was still standing there as if he didn't mind me running away. It seemed like he really didn't want me to send anything up to the second floor.

"It will now."

"Huh?"

I wasn't holding the golf club to fight.

I gripped the golf club with both hands and turned around to smash the glass door with all my might.

Crack─

Unfortunately, unlike the convenience store door, it didn't break in one hit and only cracked.

"You crazy bastard!"

The psycho, realizing what I was trying to do, erased his relaxed expression and rushed towards me.

Smash─

But the golf club was swung once more and shattered the glass door.

I immediately went out into the foggy street through the glass door. My shoulder was slightly scratched by the remaining pieces of glass because the glass door wasn't completely broken, but now wasn't the time to worry about such minor injuries.

Standing in the middle of the road, I turned around and saw the psycho glaring at me from inside, biting his lip tightly.

It would have been quite troublesome if he had rushed at me to take me down first, but I was relieved. It was fortunate, but my situation was still quite precarious.

"Scared? Come out here."

"You're the crazy one."

"More than you. What the hell are you hiding on the second floor?"

"Do you think you'll live if you stay there? You think the zombies won't kill you?"

"If I'm going to die, I'm taking you with me, you psycho bastard."

The psycho gritted his teeth. But as he rolled his eyes around, he seemed to be contemplating what to do.

"Shriek!"

Then, the already familiar cry of the zombie was heard along with the sound of short, rapid footsteps.

The zombie wasn't on my side. I had reluctantly dragged it in because I didn't have the confidence to face the psycho head-on. If I made a mistake, I could die first, just like he said. In fact, that was more likely.

From now on, I had to react well to every moment.

"Shriek!"

Soon, the zombie appeared through the fog. I jumped into the cafe at that timing.

"Shit!"

The psycho quickly turned around to run to the second floor. I couldn't let him run away, so I threw the golf club.

The psycho, who was paying attention to me, quickly turned around and swung his crowbar to knock the golf club away. But because of that, he had to stop in the middle of the cafe.

In the meantime, I picked up a chair and threw it again. Luckily, the chair flew straight towards the psycho.

Thwack!

The psycho must have judged that he couldn't avoid the chair, so he swung the crowbar and smashed the chair.

'Damn.'

It seemed like he was quite strong, easily smashing the chair like that even though he didn't seem to swing it that hard.

Keeping in mind that I should never let him get close, I continued to throw chairs.

The psycho awkwardly swung the crowbar and smashed another chair, but because of that, he couldn't move easily.

"Shriek!"

I was about to pick up a new chair when I heard the footsteps of a zombie approaching me very closely. It was a tense moment where I could feel my heartbeat.

"Shh!"

From what I've experienced so far, zombies tend to jump and bite when they attack. That's what happened to Jin-ho hyung, and to that scrawny thug.

I was waiting for that moment.

At the same time as I heard the zombie jump, I lowered my body as much as possible and twisted my waist.

Honestly, it was a gamble that relied on luck, but today's luck must have reached me because I was able to narrowly avoid the zombie's arm and snout with perfect timing.

As soon as the zombie's arm passed over my head, I grabbed its arm and spun around like we were dancing a waltz. Then, using the centrifugal force, I pushed it towards the psycho with all my might.

"Shriek?"

The zombie was pushed by me and rolled across the floor, jumping out towards the psycho. Fortunately, the zombie got up again and ran towards the psycho, who was close by, instead of me.

"You son of a bitch!"

The psycho spat out curses full of sincerity and swung the crowbar at the zombie.

I didn't expect to be able to do anything to the psycho with just one zombie. I naturally expected the zombie's head to be crushed in one hit, and I was about to open the entrance to call in more zombies.

Why does he look so clumsy? The psycho hit the zombie's shoulder instead of its head.

The zombie's shoulder was grotesquely dented, but it didn't give up and stuck out its snout to bite the psycho. The psycho, who failed to break its head in one hit, became busy pushing the zombie away.

Thump─

Then, I heard something colliding from behind. I glanced back and saw a zombie banging against the glass window, trying to get in.

I quickly picked up a chair and threw it at the psycho, and then opened the glass door wide.

The zombie stopped banging its head against the glass window and jumped through the open glass door, chasing after me.

Meanwhile, I picked up another chair and threw it, preventing the psycho from killing the first zombie, and circled around the psycho. The psycho tried to finish off the first zombie, whose leg was broken, but had to hurriedly knock away the chair.

"This fucking shit, seriously!"

Then, the second zombie that had just entered ran towards me. And the psycho was between me and the zombie.

The psycho hurriedly swung the crowbar at the new zombie. The second zombie, who was hit in the side, was thrown out weakly to the side, perhaps because his strength was strong even though he was hitting from a unstable posture due to the haste of turning around.

It was at that moment.

"Aaaargh!"

The zombie, whose leg was broken and crawling on the floor, jumped up, bouncing its entire body, and bit the psycho's shin. The psycho's shin broke like a reed under the zombie's tremendous bite force.

"Shit! Shit! Shiiiit!"

The psycho, who suffered a fatal injury with one leg dangling, screamed out in frustration like he was having a seizure, and slammed the back of the zombie's head. He hit it so hard that the crowbar pierced the zombie's skull and stuck into the floor.

But that was a fatal mistake. Because he had stuck the crowbar in too deeply, he couldn't pull it out even though the zombie that had been pushed aside was close to him.

The psycho's mistake was a golden opportunity for me.

I immediately picked up the golf club lying on the floor and ran to smash the psycho's head with all my might.

The psycho, who had no choice but to let go of the crowbar and was holding the zombie's head and pushing it away with both hands, momentarily dodged the golf club flying towards his head, but he couldn't completely dodge it while holding onto the zombie.

"Aaaargh!"

The psycho's scream echoed as he was hit on the shoulder.

The psycho wasn't a zombie. Naturally, he couldn't be okay even if his shoulder was broken like a zombie.

The psycho, whose strength was sapped by the pain and shock, couldn't hold the second zombie in the end.

"Kkeuaaaargh!"

"Oh, shit."

Unfortunately, the zombie's head was around his waist, so the zombie bit between the psycho's legs. And with the bite force that crushed even bones, the psycho's junk was torn off and went into the zombie's mouth.

Even I, who was watching, couldn't help but flinch for a moment.
